What is VRML? And why do I need to install a VRML plugin?

VRML stands for Virtual Reality Modeling Language.
You need to install a VRML plugin in order to view the 3D theatres.
We recommend you install Cosmo Player 2.1.1 which can be downloaded
from: http://www.cai.com/cosmo/html/win95nt.htm

I don’t like CosmoPlayer. Can I use another VRML plug-in?

The THEATRON VRML models were written specifically for CosmoPlayer but should run under any VRML 97 fully compliant browser. THEATRON regrets that it can only answer support questions on CosmoPlayer operations, however.

I get corruption on the VRML models how can I fix this?

Your VRML browser is probably set incorrectly. From the CosmoPlayer navigation panel click on the check mark button (on the lower right hand side of the CosmoPlayer navigation panel. This will open the CosmoPlayer preferences panel. Select the graphics tab and make sure that the renderer selection is set to ‘Automatic Renderer Choice’ and that the ‘Force Software Only Rendering’ option is checked.

Why does the THEATRON application disappear off my screen?

If the THEATRON application runs off the edge of the screen, you need to adjust your monitor settings. This can be done by right mouse clicking on the desktop, select ‘properties’, ‘settings’ and change the desktop Area size to be a minimum of 1024 by 768 pixels.

The images look speckled what is wrong?

Your display may have been set to 256 colours. We recommend THEATRON is used with a minimum of 16-bit High Colour settings, preferably higher. To change your monitors display setting right mouse click on the desktop, select ‘properties’, ‘settings’ and change the colours setting to High Colour or better.

Which web browser do I need?

The THEATRON application only works in Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5 or later. This must be already installed on your system.

What happens if I forget my User Name and Password?

Send an email to [email protected] and we will send you an email message containing your User Name and Password.

The application uses and online active X component which has failed to
download successfully. This is probably as a result of your browser security settings. To change these either contact your system administrator or change the ActiveX settings for your Internet Explorer security settings. Open Internet Explorer, select Internet Options from the Tools drop down menu. From the Internet options panel select the security tab. Click on the Custom Level button. Select the Enable Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins radio button.
